Mejora del control de riesgos para la salud de la exposición al mercurio en la minería de oro artesanal y en pequeña escala (ASGM) y sus alrededores mediante el desarrollo del modelo de "enfoque participativo"

In many ASGM areas in Indonesia, healthcare personnel lack capability to understand mercury risks faced by ASGM communities and how to reduce and prevent such risks, as well as how to deal with mercury intoxication cases. Building upon significant awareness raising being done through other projects in numerous mining communities, the project will educate healthcare workers in ASGM communities on mercury health risks and on how to advise community members on how to reduce mercury health risks. Increasing the capacity of both formal and community health workers to advance this awareness will allow further implementation of health risk reduction measures in ASGM communities.
