Sustainable Forest Development Project, Protected Areas Management Component

GEF component will protect and manage globally-significant biodiversity in 13 forest nature reserves in Sichuan, Hainan and Hunan provinces. Associated IBRD/EU project will develop new forest resources, manage natural forests and redress the social and economic impacts of the government's logging ban on local communities.
