Strategic Partnerships to Improve the Financial and Operational Sustainability of Protected Areas

The project goal is to strengthen the sustainability and management effectiveness of Botswana’s system of protected areas. The project objective is to catalyze working partnerships between public , private, NGO, and communitystakehodlers to improve the financial and operational sustainability of protected areas. The project objective is expected to be achieved through: 1) Strengthening enabling environment 2) Effective PA comanagement systems demonstrated at site level 3) Increased institutional cpaacity to effectively fulfill PA management functions
