Research Programme on Methane Emissions from Rice Fields

The project seeks to quantify the impact of different rice growing ecosystems on methane emission and improve knowledge of processes that control methane fluxes from flooded rice. Promising mitigation options will be evaluated in collaboration with developing countries and farmers, and experiences will be shared among project participants.
