Supporting Capacity Building for the Elaboration of National Reports and Country Profiles by African Parties to the UNCCD

The overall rationale of this project is to assist African country Parties to the UNCCD to address the causes and mitigate the negative impacts of land degradation on the structure and functional integrity of ecosystems through the adoption and mainstreaming of sustainable land management practices. The objective of this project is to support the African country Parties to enhance their capacities to prepare and/or elaborate their national reports so as to fulfill their obligations under the UNCCD. Through this support, in country capacity is built and an a multi-stakeholder consultation process for implementing the UNCCD is strengthened.
