Strengthening national capacities for the Minamata Convention implementation with focus on development of strategy for assessing the sites contaminated by mercury

The project addresses the recommendations provided by the Minamata Initial Assessment (MIA) for future action on mercury management in North Macedonia. The project will revise and update the mercury inventory, and develop a comprehensive National Implementation Plan (NIP) for the implementation of the Minamata Convention. Furthermore, the project will focus on developing a detailed strategy for identifying and assessing mercury-contaminated sites.
