Tenth Meeting of the Effectiveness Evaluation Group (EEG-10)

Effectiveness Evaluation Group Virtual 16 - 16 Sep 2026

The meeting was held online on Wednesday, 16 September 2026, and conducted in English. The meeting was co-chaired by Kateřina Šebková (Czech Republic) and Linroy Christian (Antigua and Barbuda). The Group provided inputs to the first drafts of the overall summary assessment and conclusions as well as the lessons learned and recommendations report, showing a transition from the evidence-gathering and assessment phase of the work to the preparation of its key findings, conclusions, recommendations, and lessons learned.

Furthermore, the Chair of the Implementation and Compliance Committee, Eva Šalplachtová, and the Co-Chairs of the Open-Ended Scientific Working Group, Sandy Steffen and Dominique Bally Kpokro, provided updates during the meeting. The "Effectiveness Evaluation Report" and the "Lessons Learned and Recommendations" will be available for Party review in January 2027. The next meeting of the Effectiveness Evaluation Group will take place in person from 11 to 13 November 2026 in Geneva, Switzerland.
