Briefing on the amended Annex A of the Minamata Convention on Mercury

This briefing on the amended Annex A of the Minamata Convention takes place on Tuesday, 11 October 2022 in two sessions from 09:00 to 10:00 CEST and from 15:00 to 16:00 CEST to support Parties from different time zones to participate. The Conference of the Parties to the Minamata Convention on Mercury adopted decision MC-4/3: Review and amendment of annexes A and B to the Minamata Convention on Mercury at its fourth meeting, in which Part I and Part II of Annex A to the Convention was amended by the addition of new product categories and measures. This briefing serves to outline the significance of the decision for the Convention and its Parties, as well as clarify the procedures for entry into force of the amended Annex. The UN Depositary notified all parties and signatories of the amended Annex A on Wednesday, 28 September 2022.
