On 19 August 2021, Zimbabwe deposited its instrument of ratification successfully, becoming as a result the 133rd Party to the Minamata Convention on Mercury. The Secretariat looks forward to having Zimbabwe as a Party effective (90 days after the ratification, as stipulated by the text of the Convention) and working together to make mercury history.
