The Secretariat launches two distinct Online Forums in preparation for the second segment of COP-4

The Secretariat of the Minamata Convention has launched on 14 February the Online Budget Forum and the Online Technical Documents Forum. As informed by the letter of the Executive Secretary, the forums provide a secured space for Parties to review, comment or ask questions in preparation for the in-person segment of the fourth meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP-4) to be held from 21-25 March 2022 in Bali, Indonesia.

  • The Budget Forum will be opened until 4 March 2022, where Parties can review, comment or ask questions about the proposed programme of work and budget for 2023 ahead of its consideration by COP-4.2.   • The Technical Documents Forum will be opened until 11 March 2022, where Parties can review the documents (for possible adoption or agreement at COP-4.2) and communicate any possible remaining technical comments and questions.
