Within the framework of Minamata COP-4, the CEO and Chairperson of the Global Environmental Facility (GEF) Carlos Manuel Rodriguez will host a reception to meet and discuss issues on the environment, GEF’s role and the ongoing GEF-8 replenishment. The event will take place on Tuesday March 22nd at 18h30 local time (UTC+8) at the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel.
The Secretariat of the Minamata Convention took part in a joint scientific workshop on mercury modelling to connect the mercury emissions and releases to the environment and observed mercury levels in the environment.
Including the phase-out of new mercury-added products and new limits and measures for cosmetics, industrial processes, and dental amalgam. The 2024 edition is now available in English, French, and Spanish.
