As part of the preparation for the upcoming fifth meeting of the Conference of Parties of the Minamata Convention on Mercury (COP-5) from 30 October to 3 November 2023 in Geneva, Switzerland, two types of COP-5 events are offered:

  • Online events: are 1-hour in duration and take place virtually using the WebEx platform. The online events are scheduled for the week of October 9 to 13.
  • Knowledge Lab sessions are 30-minutes in duration, with an open space set-up that is envisaged to be simple and straightforward, and for minimal cost to the organizers. The sessions will take place at the COP-5 venue, during lunch break, and only on specific days. There are very limited slots for the sessions.

The call is addressed to Parties, major groups and stakeholders registered for COP-5 or approved to participate in the previous meetings of the Conference of the Parties.

Please read the Guidelines for Organizers carefully.
