On 23 July 2019, the Government of Comoros deposited its instrument of ratification, thereby becoming the 111th Party to the Minamata Convention.

Joint GMOS-Train and MCHgMAP workshop: challenges in modelling mercury dynamics across atmosphere, ocean, and terrestrial system
The Secretariat of the Minamata Convention took part in a joint scientific workshop on mercury modelling to connect the mercury emissions and releases to the environment and observed mercury levels in the environment.

Including the phase-out of new mercury-added products and new limits and measures for cosmetics, industrial processes, and dental amalgam. The 2024 edition is now available in English, French, and Spanish.
