Call for information and information on follow-up with regard to the decisions adopted by the fourth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Minamata Convention (COP-4)

The Secretariat of the Minamata Convention took part in a joint scientific workshop on mercury modelling to connect the mercury emissions and releases to the environment and observed mercury levels in the environment.

Including the phase-out of new mercury-added products and new limits and measures for cosmetics, industrial processes, and dental amalgam. The 2024 edition is now available in English, French, and Spanish.

This year’s #WMBD2024 highlights the crucial bond between insects & migratory birds. Mercury pollution harms insects (vital food for birds), affecting bird health, survival & migration.
