UNEP/MC/COP.3/8 - Guidance on the management of contaminated sites

Note by the secretariat 1. Paragraph 3 of article 12 of the Minamata Convention on Mercury provides that the Conference of the Parties to the Minamata Convention shall adopt guidance on managing contaminated sites. 2. The Conference of the Parties, in its decision MC-1/20, requested the secretariat to prepare draft guidance, in consultation with experts nominated by Governments and others, and to submit it to the Conference of the Parties at its second meeting.
